BEng.  Dipl. Professional Photography.

Biography

I was born in London and after many years living there, I now live and work in North Wales.

I was educated and trained as a computer engineer throughout the 1980's and 90's and worked at Intel Corporation during the critical periods of the internet explosion and the wireless revolution.   However, my father was a water colour artist and I always felt I had an artistic side waiting in the wings.  The technical ability needed for modern photography and the necessary artistic vision was a perfect match which encouraged me to start Castle Vision Photographic ©.

I am increasingly involved with creating images for the food industry and other commercial interests which I find very rewarding.   I also travel over the whole of North West England and spend time seeking out the best subjects for landscape, fine art and nature photography.

The high quality and artistic imaging of food, packaging and other commercial products is a specialist service provided by Castle Vision Photographic and very competitive rates are available.

Property, both commercial and residential is another area I am very involved with, especiailly in this local region.  It is essential to have high quality images to help promote the marketing and sales of property whether you are selling your own house or promoting a new hotel or holiday rental for example.  Please contact me for an expert service in this area of work.

Local event photography for corporate or social purposes is a speciality and I am always keen to help out for PR, marketing shoots or other.  It always gives people a sense of achievement and is excellent publicity for similar events or funding in the future.  I support the charity Diabetes UK and I am now their photographer for meetings and fundraising events in the North Wales region.   I also provide talks on my work to regional groups such as the Alzheimer's Society.

I also provide a portraiture service for individuals, group/family shots or model portfolios etc. This can be arranged on location, in our private studio or in association with local beauty salons.  I have done a number of sessions with marketing agencies to promote sponsorships for individuals or for fashion items.   Please contact me for further details.

For landscape and wildlife images, Anglesey and Snowdonia have naturally become my main area of focus as anyone who visits the area will appreciate.    I am also inspired by the lesser known Clwydian range of hills and forests further east of Snowdonia such as Clocaenog.   My work has been published by the Forestry Commission covering these areas as well as COFNOD, the North Wales environmental information service.  I have also had work published by the BBC, ITV, New York Business Insider, all the local newspapers and tourist information boards etc.

I am a volunteer for mammal survey work with the MISE project (mammals in a sustainable environment) such as red squirrels, dormice, otters etc. and the north Wales coordinator for Seawatch Foundation, monitoring cetaceans along the fabulous coast here.

I run regular wildlife photography courses in north Wales and I'm available for talks and presentations on my work right across the region.

All images on this website and Flickr are available for sale.  Please contact me for sizes and available media.  Prices start at £10 includinfg P&P for 7"x5" prints.
