Wildlife Photography Days

A Big Thank You to everyone who came on our courses last year, at Wepre Park-Flintshire, Glasdir-Llanrwst and Rhydymwyn Nature Reserve nr. Mold.  Thanks for all the great feedback, it's very much appreciated!

In May 2018 year we completed another weekend residential course at the Snowdonia National Park Training Centre at Plas Tan y Bwlch, with the U3A Warrington photography group and in April was our 3rd successful course at Wepre Park.  Thanks to the very enthusiastic group who came along.

We are not currently running the nature & wildlife training courses due to other commitments this year but if you have a group or organisation of 4 people or more and would like to arrange to an event please get in touch.

The photographic topics include a solid technical understanding of a digital camera, the functioning parts and the different types, wildlife tips and techniques, many examples of quality wildlife images with explanations of how they were achieved.  During the day we will have opportunities to practise what we've learnt with plenty of advice.

You will get to practise your photographic technique on various creatures and plants we discover at Plas Tan y Bwlch and surrounding areas at Ceunant Llenyrch Naturte Reserve and your tutor Laurence will be on hand the whole day to advise you on using your camera to achieve the best results.  You do not need an expensive DSLR but we do recommend a good hybrid style camera as a minimum.  You will appreciate the differences in camera types and lenses during the course and also get to understand camera trap devices.

Our students have taken some amazing photos on our previous courses which have been in north and south Anglesey as well as Rhydymwyn, Flintshire and Glasdir Conference Centre in Llanrwst, Conwy.

Previously we have run some great courses with Kate Wilson of NEWWildlife and also the expert guidance of Kathy James and Ken Croft at Naturebites.  Here is the DAILY POST REVIEW of the 2 day course on Anglesey written by Debbie James at the Daily Post.

Castle Vision Photographic © regularly runs bespoke beginner courses in wildlife and/or landscape photography including 1 to 1 sessions, prices for which start at £40 per half day. Please get in touch for a course tailored to suit your needs.
